_ Thanksgiving 2011
Each year, I make a list of things to be thankful for. So here goes:

I am thankful for:

·         Kelly and Kynan and all we are building together.
·         Supportive friends.
·         New revelations and directions.
·         Being able to witness the world coming together.
·         Having a roof over my head.
·         The ability to help.
·         For all who teach me.
·         For the others who sacrificed of themselves to afford me the freedoms I enjoy now.
·         Foresight to see where I am headed.
·         Release of past issues.
·         The house I live in.
·         ­­The students I teach.
·         The world I am creating.
·         Love.

All this being said, I AM grateful for this and more every day.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a policeman. I huddled next to my big metal television to watch Starsky and Hutch, SWAT, and yes, even Barney Miller. Not just any beat cop mind you, but a homicide detective was my goal. I always played cops and robbers. I would come home tired but contented. It was my Dream Job.

As I grew up, my thoughts changed. I started working as a landscaper which led to becoming a landscape designer. I got the opportunity to design beautiful gardens and build them. I came home tired each day, tired but contented. It was my Dream Job.

During this time I began frequenting renaissance festivals. I would get dressed in cool looking clothing and pay my way in and act as if I was from another time. It was so much fun. One day I was offered the opportunity to work one as a performer. That led to more than two decades as a sword-fighting comedian. At the end of each day I would come home tired but contented. It was my Dream Job.

I have had several other jobs as well: teaching college, fight directing, acting, directing. Each had many challenges, each was enlightening and each left me heading home tired and contented. Each was my Dream Job.

I now live my life empowering people to be the best they can be. I share my stories that were created in my other dream jobs. I help people get out of their way, break through their personal fears, and create amazing lives. I get to witness miracles on a regular basis. My job is to share my life experiences, both the positive and the negative, and tell how I overcame the obstacles and propelled my life forward. My job is to be me, in all the facets of me there are. To share the knowledge I have acquired in this life and in past lives, to step out and be me. At the end of the day I go home charged up and happily contented to know I have done good works for others and humanity as a whole. I am blessed to have my life be my Dream Job.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

I have done six USO tours in my life. I have witnessed firsthand the bravery of women and men of our armed forces. I discovered early on that most are very determined to be of service. Though I am not one who supports wars, I must recognize the selfless service of these brave individuals. To be a US soldier means that you volunteer to go anywhere to defend the freedoms of others, and even though I feel that the drawing of lines between peoples and nations was the downfall of modern society, you must look at the act of joining the military as a supreme act of service. Today I honor those who have volunteered and fallen in their selfless act.

Service –noun ---- an act of helpful activity; help; aid: to do someone a service.

Today also I would like to remember some others who have passed in service to humanity. People like Mother Teresa who selflessly gave of herself to feed and care for the starving children of Calcutta. Mahatma Gandhi who gave of himself repeatedly to prove nonviolence was more powerful than violence. Let us also remember Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jeshua, Mohammed, and many more Avatars who gave their entire lives as an example for humanity. These also gave of themselves selflessly. The soldiers are no less important than these amazing spiritual individuals. Where they are and what they are doing is unimportant; what is important is that they chose to be of service. The act of choosing and acting upon that decision creates a noble ripple in the fabric of the Universe. The intention of service is the most noble of acts.

Today I honor the act of service. I remember those that have fallen in service to another. I strive to be as noble as they and hold high a memorial in my heart for each and every one. God bless Humanity. The Selfless serve, praised be to Allah. Be the hero they were in your everyday. One day we will set down our arms and celebrate together as humanity.

Each year we have a day that reminds us to be thankful for what we have in our lives.

I am thankful for:

Being able to wake each day.

Having a roof over my head.

Having wonderful friends.

Being able to serve.

For all that spoke truth.

For all that speak truth.

For all that will speak truth.

For the others who sacrificed of themselves to afford me the freedoms I enjoy now.

BUT MOST OF ALL:

For finding Kelly again

For my son Kynan and all the joys that he gives me.

The awareness to joyfully create the life of my desires with the people that I love most.

All this being said, I AM grateful for this and more every day.  Don’t wait for one time a year to be thankful and to share with those that matter that you are thankful for them.

It is Memorial Day weekend. This weekend is set aside to remember those who have fallen in conflicts involving the United States Military. People who join the military volunteer their lives to go wherever told to protect you and me. Though many times I do not agree with the reasons for their going and don’t like to use words like “defend,” I will without question honor the brave men and women who set themselves aside for what they feel is a worthy cause. It is a heroic thing to go without question to an uncertain future for a noble cause.  

Many know that I am not a ‘dwell in the past’ kind of guy and memorials in general are built on that premise. I also feel that to create the world of our desires we should never forget the past, but hold it as an educational tool.  The history lesson of the past is not what this weekend is about. This weekend is about selfless action by brave individuals who perished doing what they felt was right. They lived as heroes because they acted upon their convictions.

This day lets us remember them and all the people who have passed that lived as heroes acting upon their convictions; people like Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatmas Ghandi, Mother Teresa, my grandparents, and more. They have passed but live as a testament to what truly living is.

When we remember what they stood for and who they were as individuals, it falls to us to create a world in their honor, a world of peace, prosperity and happiness for all. So in memorial, let us create the world where guns are irrelevant, wars are history, and soldiers can pursue a different cause.

The New Age gurus will tell you to make affirmations. I believe that they do have their place, but affirmation without belief does nothing to promote change. The words can be spoken, but if a conscious choice to alter the subconscious belief to something new is not a part of the affirmation, then the affirmation is pointless. Our minds are amazing things. For 85 -90% of our lives our minds are in the subconscious state. It takes a concerted effort to remain in the present moment. The subconscious mind dwells in the past and the future. Ask yourself this: Are you fully present? Or is a lot of your day spent pondering what will be or what was?

Our thoughts create our world. Our ordinary conversation tells us what our subconscious mind believes. If you want to make a realization of where you are headed in life, pick up one of those digital voice recorders and an external microphone to plug into it (I picked up an external lapel microphone on eBay really cheap). Then stick it in your pocket and record your words. Those recorders will record up to 20 hours, some of them. After recording a day’s worth of ordinary conversation, go back and listen to your words. This exercise will show you fully what you are creating into your experience. By becoming aware of the direction you are headed in, you can fine tune your rudder and alter your direction. What do your words create in the present moment? Are you creating wanting, needing, hoping, or trying?

Once you have truly discovered what your subconscious mind is creating, the simple awareness of the fact will become a part of your subconscious as well and your course will naturally alter. This is where affirmations come into play. Many will say that repeated affirmations will alter your subconscious mind. I believe that they only serve as a reminder to put you back on track. It is the belief that creates the perception, not the other way around.  You must believe that you are receiving what you put out in your affirmations.  I often use as an example people who religiously go to their weekly services and say "thank you" over and over again.  The reason they have to keep saying it is because they haven’t believed enough to receive. When you ask for the glass of water, it is placed in your hand, and you believe you have a firm grip on it: you say, “thank you”.  Now drink, and receive what you are thankful for.

Many of you have heard my stories of the manifestations in my life, and I can say it always amazes me how they come. They always come when I ask, BELIEVE, and then receive. I only ever ask once. I just believe, from that point on.  Ask in affirmation or prayer, and then hold the belief that you are receiving, or are already that which you affirm, and SO BE IT.

I just got back from Sandusky Ohio, where I spoke Friday night and did private healing sessions on Saturday. It was a great time and I had the opportunity to meet and work with some wonderful people. Afterwards my assistant Holly and I went to the home of a couple who came for the speech, but had a special request. They asked if we could stop by their home and work on a partially paralyzed horse named Momma. She is a lovely horse with a wonderful disposition.

I climbed into the stall and began work. I began feeling my way around Momma’s neck and found what I would call an energetic hot spot. I placed my hand upon it and began opening to source to allow the source of all to do the work. Momma immediately raised her head and twisted it hard to one side. She then gently pressed into me and stayed relaxed. Holly and I continued to work on her for some time and at Holly’s suggestion, so did the owner. We just allowed the energy to flow and asked for the healing. All at once the energy stopped. All three of us felt it at once, and we knew we were done.

This animal could have easily crushed any of us, but the simple gesture of gently pressing into me was beautiful. Afterwards, she leaned down, smelled my leg, and then kissed her owners hand. It was a series of simple gestures that made our day. First a lean, then a smell, and then a kiss that gave us the sign we did good service. I would love to say that Momma’s paralysis was immediately cured. It wasn’t, but may be over time. A spot of discomfort was found and worked on.  Maybe that was the problem or maybe it wasn’t, but the simple gesture said it was all good.

I got home and discovered a little card in my mail. It was from my love Kelly, who is away in Georgia. I opened it and read how she appreciated our love and relationship. She also said she loved and missed me. Kelly and I speak every day several times. We are always in communication. But she also made the simple gesture that said it was all good. What simple gesture can you give to the ones who matter? It means far more than you can imagine. I was gifted today with a few simple gestures; each meant a great deal, and I am forever grateful to be the recipient.

A life of service is my desire. But what service do I intend on delivering? I have been very fortunate to have miraculous things happen in my life. Over time I became aware that I was the cause of the miracles in my life. This is not because I was different in anyway, but because I became aware of the simplicity of creation. Sometimes I still get in my own way and each of these times is a learning experience for me. I feel as if I have learned so much and yet it all seems to be getting simpler. The simple truth of it all is that you are the creator.

So here I come desiring a life of service to humanity. What can I do for you? I desire to show you the simplicity of it all. I desire to awaken you to your divine self. I desire for you to be empowered. I desire You to be the best you that you can be. Most of all, I desire that you be happy. I feel I could give you many things, but as they say, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

So I serve. I serve by writing blog posts to make you think and to show the simplicity of what I have learned. I speak so that people may hear the words and so get the teachings. I do private healing sessions to release fear and ailment. I coach to assist in the long term empowerment. I focus on Healing the Earth as a means of connecting our global consciousness towards a divine purpose. I personally meditate to allow divine inspiration to come through for you. I make jokes to make you smile so you will feel your divine self. I lift people up and if they do not stay up, I offer again. I am expressing to you that we are one with all that is and through divine realization of that fact you are served.

I serve for you. I serve for me. I reap as I sow. I am truly blessed that you allow me to serve. What can I do for you?

Many people have heard me speak about the simplicity of connecting with source. I am a firm believer that religions are history lessons of other people’s spiritual experiences, and that spirituality is in your present moment. I talk about God/Source being Love, and fear is the tool to experience God fully. To put it in another way, your positive moments are experiencing the divine source and your negative experiences are of your fear. That being said, the simple realization that positive experiences are touching God, can happen pretty regularly in an average person’s life.

Knowing my belief on this, my love Kelly recently exclaimed, “God is hot water!” I asked her to explain. “Well if God is your positive experience and I love a hot shower, then God must be hot water.” Her answer was perfect. It said so easily how close we are to our connection to source. The simple enjoyment of hot water made Kelly smile. It felt good. Good is only one letter away from God. Bad only shares a ‘D.’ The simplest moments of joy in our lives are directly connecting to source.

My belief is that fear is the tool to experience God fully. If in fact that is the case, then we are here to experience our separation from source so we can fully understand the feeling of it. Ask yourself this question: Would God make it hard? She/he made it so simple that we overlook it. God is with you every day in the simplest things. For me, God is in waking up and seeing Kelly’s smile, in my first cup of coffee (though Kynan may disagree), in writing these blogs. For Kelly, God is hot water. Where in your life do you experience the positive emotion that is God? It is the only present moment you have to do so. Enjoy your life knowing you are never alone, you are always connected to God, and that you are safe.

Thoughts. Thoughts are the stone thrown into the pond of creation. Thoughts held to, ride the ripples until the ripples become waves. When the wave finally crests a manifestation is born in the physical. Thoughts come in many forms. Visual images are the first that come to my mind. I know when I visualize a thought that the possibility of the manifestation is simpler, because I already ‘see’ it. In seeing, I can feel it’s being already in my experience. My awareness that it is already happening is the receiving element that brings it into creation.

Simple awareness is creation. As I go through life many things have put images in my mind. After going on six USO tours overseas including a few trips to both Iraq and Afghanistan, I became a CNN junkie. I was hooked on seeing what was happening overseas, in the places where I had been. I found myself mired in the negative news that would come from the image creating device before me. It stopped my forward motion to the point that nothing was being achieved. This past year I canceled my cable television. What a freeing moment it was. There was a period of time when I missed the shows. After a few weeks, however, I found that I was more productive, and my relationship was the better for it.

Negative thoughts, especially those that are accompanied by images, throw the stone into the pond. I have shifted my input to be predominantly positive, and so, I have a more positive outlook. All of the teachers of the past say that a positive outlook is imperative to creating a positive world.

Negativity breeds more negativity. Positivity breeds more positivity. The awareness of a positive world creates a positive world. If each one of us would create in a positive mindset for even a short amount of time, imagine the world we could create. We would be active participants in the creation of a new earth experience.

Science has proven that we spend more time in our subconscious mind than in our conscious mind. By consciously shifting our outer expressions to positive inputs of news and people in our lives, we are actually creating a new past of positive expression.  Doing so allows our conscious mind to begin to subconsciously create from a positive place, which alters not only our lives but the world around us. I recently found a cool website called positivenewz.com. It only shows news that is positive, and I love reading the stories that are on it, because I feel upbeat when I am done. It alters my inner feelings, which in turn creates my outer expression.

For a few weeks can you focus on the positive in the world instead of the negative?  Give it a shot. See what happens to your world if you do. I dare you to be happy.
